Donations

A small, monthly donation is the most powerful way to join us in this work.

Utilities

Keep the lights on, water flowing and pots bubbling on the stove.

£13

Food

Keep fridges and bellies full, and the opportunity to break bread together.

Travel

Give the freedom to move around the city, to study, to work and to access services.

Rent

Rent is Mazí's bread and butter: give a month of rent and keep roofs overhead.

€2,000 a month feeds 24 people. Help us get there.

We’re aiming to raise €2,000 per month in regular donations. That covers the monthly food budget for 24 residents.

This budget means full kitchens: onions, potatoes, eggs, pasta.
Enough food to remove scarcity. Enough to cook together. Enough to sit and eat as a household.

It also lets us run basic nutrition and cooking sessions for young men who have never had the opportunity to learn.
Stable food. Shared meals. More choices.

Mazí Marathon

Every year, a dedicated team of runners takes part in the original, authentic, Athens Marathon, all to raise money for Mazí and keep roofs overhead.

Work with us

We're a small, hands-on team building safe, community-based housing for displaced young men in Athens. The work is relational and often unglamorous: sitting in house meetings, holding boundaries with care, being a steady adult in a young person's life. We care about doing it well.

Everything we do comes back to two things: creating safety, and maximising the choices our residents have ahead of them. If that's work you want to do, we'd like to hear from you.

Current openings

Programme Coordinator

Athens · Full-time · up to €22,000-€28,000 a year

The Programme Coordinator ensures that our housing, casework and community practice work together as a single system that ensures residents consistently have access to three things at Mazí:

  • Safety (stability, predictability, and reliable support)

  • Choice (agency, responsibility, and growing independence)

  • Community (belonging, participation, and contribution)

As Mazí grows, we want our practice to be held by a practitioner: someone to translate theory into practice, and practice into learning. You make sure the system is simple enough to work, and strong enough to hold the complexity even when the team is busy or stretched.

You hold and evolve our model: community-based, trauma-informed, built on the principle that each resident is the expert in his own life.

As Programme Coordinator, you lead the Community Housing Lead and the Caseworker. You supervise them, you develop them, and you ensure coherence in the delivery of the programme.

This is a player-coach role. You are close enough to the work to understand it, but far enough to see patterns across it, shaping how Mazí works, not just supporting others to do it.
